she’s five

mb 37 1

and just like that, our baby girl is five.  something about five makes us both feel older.  so hard to believe that it was five years ago that she made us parents for the first time.

as she didn’t have school today, she chose to have a pajama day.  the first of her many birthday requests.  it was so fun to listen to her chatter endlessly about her birthday as today approached.  she really got what was going on and had many ideas of how the day should go.  of course, she was all about the presents.  and everything seemed to be princess related.  once she saw this set of princess dolls on a target trip, she hasn’t talked of anything else.

everything was princess, including her cake.  ironically, one of the easiest i’ve made for the girls.  i was happy to be able to do it for her as she was thrilled with the end result.

the first of our birthday trifecta complete for the year.  now to prepare for the next one in just ten short days.

Five was hard the first time with J but I suspect a couple of months from now, it will be a whole lot harder the last time with Iz :(
