space | girls’ bathroom
what i love | the tub
what i don’t care for | the wall color and medicine cabinet
what i want to do next | paint
this would be the entrance to the girls’ bathroom. it’s compact and adorable all at the same time. so compact that taking photos of it proves to be a bit difficult.
likely why they’re weren’t any when the house was listed.
there’s a big bank of windows to the left of the door which provides great light. our house is full of windows so we’re lucky to get great light throughout the day.
to the right is the niche with the toilet. when we looked at the house, i actually sat on the lid to see if a tall person would fit as it has an angled ceiling. again, compact and adorable. perfect for two little girls.
that little white box on the wall? a motion sensor nightlight. there’s only one outlet in the bathroom for a nighlight and it’s on the far side of the medicine cabinet. the light switch is also on the far side of the cabinet and camryn’s tall but can only reach it if on tip toe on a step stool. obviously not a great option during the night. this has been a great solution.
last but not least, the tub. i think nearly every house in our neighborhood has a clawfoot tub. *swoon*
so hard to get a photo of the entire thing because of the lack of space.
the shower curtain and rug are clearance finds from west elm. love them in this space.
ironically, nobody has actually used the tub yet in the almost seven weeks since we’ve been here. how sad is that?
