Space | Dining Room
What I Love | Windows and openness to kitchen
What I Don’t Care For | Light fixture
What I Want To Do Next | paint and change light fixture
Welcome to the dining room. Again, the instant I saw it I was sold because of that bank of windows. The doors to the right are to my office. Although they’re stunning, I wish it didn’t open into the dining room. Oh well. I think this is the room where the least work needs to be completed and the most work has been done. Go figure.
Looking to the left and the peek to the horribly laid out kitchen. More on that on another day. The breakfast bar has been awesome though as the girls eat there and Carson is in his high chair in the kitchen for breakfasts and lunches during the week. I often am unloading the dishwasher or cooking or something while they’re eating and I love having them right there with me.
That light fixture? BLECH.
The view from the wall that the dining room shares with my office. The dining room is really a hub of the house as the three other rooms spoke off of it. I love that the size of it allows for us to have a larger table for when we have guests but there is still enough room to move around. The menagerie loves to play under the table and march around it.
The grand plan involves taking out that half wall between the kitchen and dining room and really opening it up. We’ll see…
