These Tootsie Roll Bars take just 15 minutes to prepare and are perfect for your next potluck, family gathering or holiday yet so delicious, you'll find yourself making them on a weekday just to get your fix! An oatmeal cookie type base is flooded with a fudgy Tootsie Roll like ganache that's then covered with additional dollops of the base mixture. Decadence at it's finest!

Ingredients

Bars

1 cup butter melted
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2-1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups old fashioned oats

Tootsie Roll Ganache

14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
12 ounces dark chocolate chunks
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, add butter and brown sugar and mix until well combined.
Add eggs and vanilla and mix together.
Add flour, baking soda, salt and oats and mix until just combined.
Spread 2/3 of bar mixture into an even layer on the bottom of a greased 9x13 pan.

Tootsie Roll Ganache

In a small saucepan over low heat, add sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chunks, butter and vanilla.
Stir together until melted and smooth.
Spread ganache in an even layer over bar mixture.
Drop remaining bar mixture by the spoonful over ganache.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden.
