This German Chocolate Pecan Pie is a memorable holiday treat. Chocolate, pecans and coconut meld together in a pie crust to form a simply decadent dessert.
Coarsely chop German chocolate and add in an even layer to the bottom of pie crust. Set aside.TIP: You'll want to insure the pieces are bite size as they stay in chunks rather than melt when baked and cooled.
In a medium bowl, lightly beat eggs and set aside.
In small saucepan, melt butter.
Add salt, brown sugar, corn syrup, flour and coffee and whisk together to combine.TIP: Don't like coffee? No problem! You actually won't taste coffee in the final dessert, rather it brings out a deeper flavor to the chocolate.
Whisk butter mixture into eggs until just combined.
Stir pecans and coconut flakes into egg and butter mixture.
