2013 cookbook challenge

mb 315

as i find myself continually packing, i’ve already weeded through my cookbook cabinet and given a few to friends and donated others to the library.  this happens to be just two of four shelves, but are also the ones that i use more often.

even though i love them, i find myself getting lazy at times and instead simply consult my pinterest boards for our weekly menu plan.  until now…

narelle at cookcleancraft has challenged herself to make three recipes from each of the cookbooks she owns this year.  those not used three times will be donated.  i’m so in.  what a great motivator to put my cookbooks to use instead of collecting dust.

do you spy any cookbooks that you also have on your shelves or any favorite recipes i should try?

Comments

  1. feel free to cook 3 recipes for me (aka desserts :) ) whenever you’d like.

  2. Your cookbook stash looks like my parenting book stash. Perhaps I should give those away too OR deploy 3 strategies from each book over 2013?!??!?!? :) Food for thought.

  3. Orecchiette With Spicy Sausage And Broccoli Rabe from Everyday Italian is a go to recipe in our house. I make it with plain Italian sausage. So good and great leftovers too!

  4. Wow, what a great idea. I have over 200 cookbooks, some that have never been used.

  5. I don’t think I’ve got any of the same cookbooks as you. Looks like some good ones though. Hmmm, this is not helping me with the challenge! Thanks for joining in!

  6. the big orange book, the MS everyday food, and the pioneer woman cookbook are all in heavy rotation at my house. have fun with this! xoxo.
