a grey and dreary friday – the perfect time to share some of my finds from this week :
read aloud chapter books | something i’d love to start with camryn. i doubt leighton’s interest would hold but think it would be a great pre-bedtime activity, especially before school starts.
spiked basil lemonade with sauvignon blanc wine and limoncello | yes, please! we have a bbq with friends in about a month. think this would be something great to contribute. at least the ladies of the group might agree.
printable poster | perfect for the girls’ room. i’m thinking framed and hung right above the light switch to insure they see it each and every day.
garlic + parmesan quinoa | quite possibly a contender for next week’s meatless meal. yum!
contrasting work surfaces | still obsessing about the kitchen in the new house and how i’m going to make it work. love the contrast of the dark butcher block with the light granite.
backyard ideas | hooray! we’ll soon have a backyard! i see many summer plans coming from this list.
margarita chicken | if this doesn’t say cinco de mayo, i don’t know what does. i figure i can get these ready and then hand them off to my dear husband to put on the grill.
large wall frames | love these huge frames with large white mats. wondering where i could implement in the new house…
