
I can’t believe that yesterday was Day 24. I completed the Advocare 24 Day challenge! Of any of the “get healthy” things I’ve ever attempted, I can say that hand down this was the easiest for me to get on board with. It’s easy, it’s spelled out for what I should be doing when, and then there was Nicole texting or calling me with words of encouragement throughout the process.
So of course, you’re wondering if it worked. YES! I’m proud to say that I lost 7 pound and 6.75″ in 24 days. Basically, I’m pretty close to where I started at when we first arrived in Cleveland at the end of June. To me, this is only the beginning. I’d love to lose another 8 pounds and I believe that the healthy eating habits I learned from participating in the challenge will help me get there.

I learned that I love grapefruit, as a morning snack or as a treat in the evening. I also learned that I absolutely love cashews! I’ve eaten so many cashews in the last 24 days I really should find my own dealer!
This is what a morning snack would look like for me. I ate fruit in the morning and veggies in the afternoon, both paired with a protein. Other favorite snacks are a granny smith apple with sunflower seed butter and bell pepper strips with hummus.

I also learned that a big salad is just as easy to prepare for lunch as snacking on junk while trying to get work done while the littlest two nap. For instance, I’m grazing on a huge salad now as I type. I’ve learned what lettuce mix is my favorite and also discovered that squeezing a lime or lemon wedge on my salad is a great, quick dressing.
So what’s next?
I’m going to continue on a few of the products for another 30 days. Nicole has told me this is when a lot of people see even more results. I actually really like the meal replacement shakes – chocolate mocha? yes, please! – and it’s been a great option for me as I didn’t often get the chance to eat as I’m getting the kids out the door to school. I also enjoyed their Spark energy drink, especially in the afternoons, to keep me going and not feel so drowsy.
Although I’m not sharing any before/after photos now, I’m hoping to after I complete this next 30 days. I can’t express how happy I am that Nicole contacted me for this opportunity. Definitely the push I needed to start this journey.
