another monday, another menu. looks like i’ll only really be cooking for the first three days of the week. an easier week menu wise.
monday : bbq meatballs. a few schedule changes last week knocked this recipe out of the rotation so it’s first on the list for this week. lisa has made it twice in the past couple of weeks so i hope it’s just as popular at our house.
i have bible study tonight – love those girls! – and offered to bring dessert so that our host wouldn’t have to make it. plus i’m always up for making dessert! i’m going to try this ez peach crunch cake. mmmmm – definitely will have to bring ice cream as well.
tuesday : lazy crockpot chicken. i really wanted to make cream cheese chicken, but it’s more hands on than this recipe seems. basically throwing a few things in the crockpot and being done. we’re supposed to get snow this day so it’ll be a comfort meal for sure.
wednesday : chili. andy’s request for the week. i don’t think i’ve made this all winter!
thursday : leftovers. i’ll actually be enjoying dinner with my friend allison who i haven’t caught up with in months!
friday : pizza.
last week’s new recipe reviews :
buffalo chicken spaghetti. i was shocked at how well this went over. i honestly thought andy might balk because it was too creamy – he’s not the world’s biggest fan of cream cheese by any stretch of the imagination – and that the girl might think it was too hot. neither was the case. everyone asked for seconds! super easy and tasty as well. i added extra hot sauce to mine as i prefer my food spicier.
hungarian beef stew. andy oohed and ahhed the entire time i made this and then again when it was finally ready. he also ate way too much of it and was beyond stuffed. i served it over boiled potatoes. it was good, but nothing i’d want to regularly spend 4+ hours working on. andy would highly disagree. i’ll gladly make it again for him, but not anytime in the near future. not with two little ones to handle soon.
