A peek inside of our family life and what we’re up to at home, week by week.

So hard to believe our baby girl is a month old! Like what I did with her older sisters and brother, I plan on taking her photo each month, but this time around, it’s less fuss. Phone camera, in the chair in her room with her polar bear. The end. Something to put in her baby book which I’m actually going to attempt to fill out as we go along. No scrapbooked version for this little one. I’d rather it be done and her story be documented than trying to figure out when I’m actually going to create it.
A bit about Kellyn at one month:
- Is about 10.5 pounds. Two pounds more than her birth weight.
- She loves to eat and eats every 2-3 hours.
- Naps in her car seat most often as we do school drop-offs and pick-ups. Hoping that this Summer when she’s older we’ll get on more of a true schedule.
- Goes to bed between 9-10p and wakes up once to eat, almost always at 4a. It’s like she has an internal clock that goes off at this time. I then wake her up at 7a to eat again before the big girls go to school.
- Loves bath time.
- Enjoys laying on the middle of the living room sectional and gazing at all the light streaming in the window.
- If I’m holding her, she almost always has a handful of my hair in at least one hand.

Getting things done around the house often involves transporting Kellyn around and finding a spot for her to hang out while I’m putting away laundry or whatever household task it is I’m tackling. She loves the soft rugs in her room and our bedroom.

For some reason, we ended up on the kitchen floor writing a couple of thank yous. Truman included.

So proud of this girl who passed the last level of swimming lessons before rec swim team. Swimming is a non-negotiable in our family and she’s been taking lessons since she was 5 months old. Love that she enjoys it and she’s actually quite good at it. Curious to see where she’ll go with it.

Today was a gorgeous day that allowed the the menagerie to play outside nearly all day. Chalk paint, bike riding, made up games – it was a great preview of our Summer to come.
