Last month, Orlando Baking Company asked if I’d be interested in trying their three True Grains Breads. Contrary to what their name might imply, this is a local Cleveland company that’s been around since 1872 and are located close to my neighborhood. I swear I see one of their trucks every time I’m out and about. Which, for the record, I could never drive a truck filled with bread as I’d eat it all and have nothing left to deliver.
All three of the True Grains Breads were developed through partnering with the Cleveland Clinic and are Go! Healthy Foods which mean they have minimum saturated fat, no trans fat, minimum added sugars and syrups, are 100% whole grain and have minimal sodium.
Seed’licious | This bread is made with probiotic cultures and promotes digestive health. This bread was my favorite as I love the texture provided by the flax seed, sunflower seeds, chia seeds and millet. Toasted and slathered with sunflower seed butter was my favorite way to enjoy it. A great mid-morning snack.
Purple Wheat Raisin | The favorite of the two year old in the house who is infatuated with raisin bread. I loved that this was a healthier choice for him as this bread has the same nutrients as blueberries. It’s low in fat and a whole grain which means I didn’t mind when he asked for a second piece at breakfast on more than on occasion.
Honey Grain | Hands down the girls favorite and the cause of an argument as to who was going to eat the last slice. (We compromised and they shared it.) This bread supports healthy brain, eyes and heart as it contains 24 mg DHA Omega 3 per serving. The girls both enjoyed it as toast for breakfast and for their often requested peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch.
You can find True Grains 100% Whole Grain Bread at several retailers in the local Cleveland metro area including Giant Eagle, Heinen’s and Marc’s among other’s.

I received bread from Orlando Baking Company free of charge but received no further compensation. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting this sponsor that allows me the opportunity to create content, such as this, for Melanie Makes.
