A peek inside of our family life and what we’re up to at home, week by week.

Monday marked three weeks with Miss Kellyn. She decided to celebrate by sleeping 8 hours – I’ll take that kind of celebration any day! Her big sisters slept through the night regularly at 3 weeks and 6 weeks so hopefully she’ll follow their lead. I feel beyond lucky that she’s such a great sleeper as by the end of this week I was absolutely dragging. I don’t know how I would’ve done it on even less sleep. She’s down for the night around 9p and then gets up around 3a to eat. I’ve then been waking her up about 7a to eat and get ready to get her sister’s to school.

Who knew Truman had a sense of humor? As I went to the door to let him in on April Fool’s Day, I found him laying like this by my car. Of course I snapped a photo and then sent it to Andy noting how bad it looked. I think I gave him a mild heart attack.

On Wednesday we were able to go outside without coats! At least for an hour or so after school. So looking forward to warmer temps and being able to be outside more often. Of course, my hopes aren’t that high that it’ll happen soon as we had snow again last night. Spring, where are you?

This week we celebrated Andy’s birthday. Each year on his birthday since Camryn was born I’ve snapped a photo of him with our menagerie with his cake. This year was a definite handful but lucky for him he had so much help to blow out all of his candles! He also was thrilled that I surprised him with my Cookies ‘n Cream Poke Cake that is one of his favorites.
Me and my morning crew. After we drop the big girls off at school, I worked to figure out what was going to work best for the three of us as a morning routine. Right now everything is dependent on when Kellyn eats before heading out for the day. If it’s right before we head out, we were lucky enough to hit the grocery store and Target before any meltdowns occurred. Otherwise it was back home to feed the baby and enjoy some PBS with my handsome guy and hopefully throw a load of laundry in before making our next school run.
So, so thankful that we made it through our first week of being back to school with four kiddos in tow without too many scars. We had a rough day on Thursday but otherwise things went smoothly. Now just to figure out how to add more time to my day to get a few more things accomplished. Including sleep!
