this is what we looked like friday morning before heading out to see 17 – yes, SEVENTEEN! – houses in our soon to be home city. we started out with a few good ones, took a break for lunch, a string of bad ones, and then we walked into what i knew was the one. THE one.
on saturday, we went back to see our top three choices and then two other homes. aftewards, we decided to make an offer on the house i deemed ours on friday. the house that just went on the market last monday. the house that everyone else seemed to love too. the house that they were expecting multiple offers on on saturday. ugh.
ugh until we got a phone call within the first 30 minutes of our long drive home yesterday that the seller signed off on our offer. no counter, no looking at any other offers, nothing. i still can’t believe it.
so awesome to have the last big thing checked off our to-do list. so amazing how this whole moving process has been an amazing adventure knowing that there’s a higher power involved because there’s no way i could’ve orchestrated how smoothly the process of selling here and buying there has gone.
for i know the plans i have for you says the lord. plans to prosper you and not to harm you. plans to give you hope and a future. jeremiah 26:11
can not wait to show the girls their new house. their new yard – we’ll have a yard! and to welcome guests to our new residence.

with being gone for four days, menu planning is obviously not happening. instead i’ve spent the morning preparing for our appraisal here and getting an inspection lined up in ohio. surely by tomorrow i’ll figure out what we’ll be eating this week, right?
