this guy has been a bit clingy since we returned from our great whirlwind of a house finding trip. this includes getting up earlier than normal. this am was another 6a wake up call. that’s early at our house. give me an extra half hour and i would’ve been fine with it.
i attempted to just give him his pacifier and head back to bed for a few minutes but he was having none of it. instead i brought him upstairs and he fell asleep on my chest. niiice. he even slept through my alarm three times. i finally had to get out of bed so i put him on the pillows next to me and quietly got out of bed.
he slept through me getting ready, duke hopping on and off the bed at least twice and his sisters getting ready. (they aren’t known for being quiet.)
the whole ordeal was a blessing in disguise as his cat nap allowed us to get groceries after dropping the girls off at school and before he was ready for a nap.
all in all, a pretty nice way to start my day with some extra love from the handsome boy.
