An Oreo cookie crust is the base for a sweetened cream cheese layer that is topped with delicious cherries. With just five ingredients and 15 minutes, you can have tonight’s dessert chilling in the fridge. Who has time to create a traditional cheesecake? This Faux Cherry Cheesecake is the perfect choice for dessert any night of the week!

When I’m looking for a comforting dessert, this Faux Cherry Cheesecake is always my choice. When I was young, this was the dessert that my mom would bring to social functions. Our church’s annual chicken pie dinner, potlucks, etc. She called it cherry cheesecake and I didn’t realize it wasn’t an actual cheesecake for quite some time. Apparently she’s not a big fan of cheesecake and so this is what she’d make instead. And I adore it. LOVE. It’s so easy and it’s so good.

A five ingredient dessert that literally take five minutes of your time to create. Oreo crust, cherry pie filling, powdered sugar, whipped topping and cream cheese. Perfection.

If you don’t care for Oreos – GASP! – you can also substitute a graham cracker crust and still end up with a great dessert. But really, I’ve yet to meet a single person on this Earth that doesn’t care for Oreos.

A slice of heaven. This dessert doesn’t last long in our home. Towards the end of my pregnancy with Camryn I was making this once a week. I’m thinking my husband misses those days. For some reason, I’m doubting my waistline feels the same way.
