This eight ingredient, 25 minute Asian BBQ Turkey Lettuce Wrap recipe makes the perfect weeknight dinner. Ground turkey is spiked with barbecue and hoison sauces, ginger and garlic. Slivered almonds and scallions are stirred throughout and dinner is ready to be served!
I love having quick and easy meals in my recipe arsenal. Especially those that can be doubled or frozen and served later on a busy evening without a second thought. These Asian BBQ Turkey Lettuce Wraps definitely fit the bill for both.
Ground turkey is spiked with barbecue and hoison sauces, ginger and garlic. Slivered almonds and scallions are stirred throughout and just like that, your lettuce wrap filling is ready. You can obviously serve the filling in iceberg lettuce but I prefer romaine as my vessel of choice. It’s sturdy, boat like shape stands up to the weight of the filling and makes this dish super kid friendly as well.

Notes
I've also added shredded carrot and zucchini to this recipe in the past to increase our vegetable intake with great results.
I love doubling the recipe and freezing half for a future meal. This Asian BBQ Turkey Lettuce Wrap filling reheats beautifully in the slow cooker and makes getting dinner on the table an absolute breeze. Simply grab the lettuce from your fridge and call everyone to the table!
