I was excited when I learned that the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo had extended their Dinosaurs exhibit through this weekend. With gorgeous weather on tap, yesterday was the perfect opportunity to see what it was all about.
This guy was the first dinosaur to greet us. Carson was immediately in love with the exhibit squealing and waving at each dinosaur we encountered.
I on the other hand wasn’t expecting a moving reptile as soon as we walked in and may or may not have jumped. The girls thought it was hysterical.
I have many shots like this where Leighton wouldn’t sit still long enough for me to take her photo as she was too worried the dinosaur behind her might make a noise or move in her direction.
This exhibit was set up along a path connecting two different areas of the zoo. It was the perfect setting and was hard to imagine that it wasn’t specifically set up for the dinosaurs.
The dinosaurs moved, blinked their eyes and made their own dinosaur like noises. Tell me this doesn’t look life like!
The girls’ favorite was this dinosaur that spit water out at them.
And of course, once the girls had experienced it, the boys had to have their turn as well.
The biggest of all the dinosaurs, Mr. T-Rex. I’d love to know how they put these animals together. Absolutely incredible.
Which one of these is not like the other? Again, Leighton did not want to look at the camera as she was sure she was going to get snatched by a dinosaur.
We all absolutely loved the exhibit, even more than I thought we would. So glad that we were able to sneak in on the last weekend and see it. The girls have talked about it numerous times today and how sad they are that it was leaving.
One thing is for certain, this trip sealed the deal on us needing a family zoo membership!
