As part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias®, I created these Double Peanut Butter Butterfinger Donuts featuring Nestle’s new Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups for a treat perfect for breakfast, late night or in between. #NewFavorites #CollectiveBias

Now that Valentine’s Day is over, I’m fast forwarding to next month. Not only does March mark the beginning of birthday season in our house – three within two weeks! – it also marks the beginning of marathon sessions in front of the television catching as many basketball games as possible. I often think my husband is quite the lucky guy that I’m as big of sports fan as he is. But I digress…

As much as I love sports, I also love spending time in the kitchen dreaming up treats that we can snack on while watching them. Because of the crazy amount of games scheduled during the first few weeks of March, tip-off times run the gamut of late morning to even later at night. What snack would be the perfect go-to choice for any time of day? DONUTS!

Donuts for breakfast? Yes! Donuts for dessert? Yes! Donuts for a late night snack? Yes! It’s the perfect three point play!

While on a recent trip to Walmart, I spied Nestle’s new Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups. Two of my favorite candies combined? My dream of big game worthy, decadent donuts was born!

Chocolate and peanut butter fans, this one’s for you! A peanut butter flavored donut chock full of Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cup pieces, dipped in a chocolate glaze and sprinkled with additional candy bits. What more could you ask for?

Heaven, I tell you. Absolute heaven. It’s like buzzer beating, shot from downtown, nothing but net perfection.
My family must think so as well as the recipe makes 18 donuts and just a few hours later, only five remained. I think I need to invest in another donut pan!

- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 tablespoon corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Lightly spray donut pans with canola oil.
- In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream together butter, oil, peanut butter and sugars.
- Add eggs, mixing until combined.
- Mix in baking powder, baking soda, salt and vanilla.
- Beginning and ending with the flour, alternate adding flour and milk into dough mixture until just combined.
- Stir in Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups being careful not to over mix.
- Spoon dough into large freezer bag and snip one corner to create piping bag. Pipe batter into donut wells.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool 5 minutes before removing to baking rack to cool completely.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, add all ingredients. Microwave for one minute and then stir together to create glaze.

- Immediately dip the top of each donut into the chocolate glaze and sprinkle with additional chopped Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups.

I’ve always loved Butterfingers, but I think these new Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups have stolen my heart. The center is soft and creamy, yet you can still taste that distinctive Butterfinger crispy wafers.
Now that I’ve depleted my stash, I need to grab more before game day. There are more donuts to be made!
