By now, I think it’s obvious I have an intense love affair with food. All food. Any food. I think about it constantly. I’m dreaming of new ways to use ingredients. I’m eager to learn more. Even though our family is lucky to not have any gluten tolerance issues, I know that it affects many and it’s been on my list of things to investigate a bit further.
Enter, Udi’s Gluten Free.
Udi’s is a brand that I was familiar with only in passing in the aisle of the grocery store. That yellow band on their packaging? Totally eye catching and easily identifiable. Of course, I was a bit leery in trying their products. Taking something out of my food? Surely that means a sacrifice in taste. Right?
These Mighty Bagels were first on my to try list. Take a peek at that ingredient list – it just sounds wholesome! These were the perfect brunch-like choice after having to get up early last Saturday to take the girls to their yearly ped appointment. On a Saturday. Morning. Where I had to set my alarm. On a Saturday. Toasted and served along side omlettes made by daddy, eager little voices begged for more and I was happy to oblige. The menagerie didn’t realize I was giving them food minus an ingredient they typically eat and loved them nonetheless.

These Dark Chocolate Brownie Bites? Sometimes I really dislike that part of my job as a mama is to show that sharing is a good idea and expected. These were GOOD. The perfect afternoon post resting time treat. Speaking of sharing, I just realized I had saved two for Andy to try when he got home and I never did. There are two of these still in my kitchen!
And then, my friends there are these cookies. Divine doesn’t even begin to describe them! Soft-baked, tender, delicious and I kept going back for more. I may have scarfed down three cookies before I knew what I was doing. These Salted Caramel Cashew Cookies rock! Even better? I didn’t feel that heavy feeling in my stomach after eating a few too many. I’m totally grabbing more on my next grocery store run.
Not only are Udi’s products delicious, but they also truly care about the people that choose their brand either because they have to or simply because they’re looking to change their lifestyle.
“Udi’s changed the way consumers think about gluten free. We made can’ts, cans. We removed the restrictions that made living gluten free a struggle and made the transition seamless. We created a community for folks to share, build and create. We brought joy. “
A brand I can truly stand behind and now one that I can recommend to my friends who are living their lives minus gluten.
