so yes, i took a break from technology last week. always good to unplug every once in awhile. and even if i had wanted to be connected, it wouldn't have been possible. back home today from a vacation with andy's family where there wasn't an internet connection to be had and cell service was spotty at best.
the good news – well for me anyway? i scrapbooked! i hadn't gotten to my weekly layout the past two weeks, so i made up for it by creating four layouts. count 'em, f-o-u-r.

andy's first father's day. i had completed this page early in the week but wasn't happy with it. i think both my mother and sister-in-law thought i was absolutely insane for tearing apart the original and starting over but i'm happier with this version.

a scraplift of my "heart hat" layout from a month or so ago. crazy to see how little C looks in these photos from last may. and how crazy her hair was after pulling out her hair clip. she continues to love that magnadoodle. definitely a good purchase on mama's part!

this layout was half done when i left and had been sitting on my desk for two weeks. i finally added the title, embellishments and journaling and considered it good. it's challenging to work with photos with that yellow-ish tint.

my favorite layout i completed this week. not sure if it's the actual layout or that it's a photo of just C and i almost exactly two years ago. books are a big deal in our house. we could open a branch of the city library with as many books as we own. if we ever get a duplicate, i tell the giver not to worry. we keep books in so many places that it's always good to have a back-up in the car/diaper bag/another floor, etc.
