These Easy Baked Meatballs are a family oldie but a goodie that I’m finally getting around to sharing with you. Shame on me! Hopefully you won’t hold it against me but start making them for your own family instead! I looked in the binder I wrote this recipe originally in and apparently we’ve been enjoying these since 2003. That’s 11 years! 11 YEARS! Proof that they’re most definitely a keeper!
Need more proof that these Easy Baked Meatballs are the real deal? They started as a great and simple addition to several meals – including my Four Cheese Meatball and Sweet Pepper Lasagna – but soon became the star of the show. As in they have become our Christmas day dinner of spaghetti and meatballs. Everyone loves them, they can be prepped ahead of time and they allow us to enjoy the day together rather than worrying about cooking an elaborate meal.
What puts the easy in these meatballs? Let me tell you! First, I’m taking the less messy way of mixing the ingredients by taking them for a short spin in the bowl of my electric mixer. By doing this, all the ingredients are mixed thoroughly but more importantly, they aren’t over mixed. Second, forget the frying! By baking these meatballs instead of frying them, there is no spattering mess created and each and every meatball is cooked evenly. Have I convinced you yet?
These Easy Baked Meatballs also freeze well and are awesome to have on hand for a quick and easy meal. Simply prepare and bake as directed. Let cool completely and then store in a zip top bag in the freezer until you’re ready to enjoy. They simply need to warm through and they’re ready to go!
