What an amazing year it’s been for me blog wise. It’s hard to believe that it was only February of this year when I decided to start taking things a bit more seriously by purchasing my own domain name and figuring out my focus would really be. Cooking, creating and family are definitely the things that keep me going on a daily basis!
It’s not surprising that nine of my ten most viewed posts of 2013 were food related. The non-food related post was one of my best finds of the year and one that I’m already putting to good use again.
Here are my most viewed posts this year – thank YOU for making it happen :

10. Review – Artkive App | If you have school aged children bringing home mountains of papers, art projects and everything else under the sun, you NEED this app.

9. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins | Otherwise known as what we ate for Christmas breakfast. Always a staple in our home each fall.

8. Slow Cooker Lemon Chicken | Couldn’t be easier and I’m sure to have the ingredients on hand. Likely my most favorite slow cooker meal as any chicken leftover is amazing on a salad for lunch the next day.

7. Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Apple and Bacon | Hooray! There are brussels sprouts fans out there! The perfect Thanksgiving side but absolutely delicious year round.

6. Perfect Pizza Crust | Loved by all that try it. You simply can’t go wrong when making a pie with this as your base.

5. Double Chocolate Ginger Crinkle Cookies | I was shocked to see this recipe so high in my list of top posts as it’s only been up for a month. Easy holiday cookie for the win!

4. Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies | Peanut butter topped with dark chocolate? How can you go wrong?

3. Reese’s Pieces Chocolate Chip Cookies | The perfect tenant for your cookie jar. Love by the menagerie for an after school treat.

2. Turkey Meat Loaf | The very first recipe I posted on Melanie Makes and has been Pinned 860+ times. I promise, it’s that good.

1. Easy Chicken Pot Pie | Almost always my topped viewed post on a daily basis and the only recipe that’s more popular than Turkey Meat Loaf. One of our absolute favorites and sure to be yours as well!
