Friends, do you know the goodness that is Halloween Oreos? When I spy the first package on store shelves, I buy them with reckless abandon. And I mean reckless. I stockpile them in fear that I will run out and then I’ll have to wait another 12 months to get my hands on them.
This season alone I swear I’ve purchased 20 packages. (Did I just admit that?!) The fact that I used a package for these Pumpkin Spice Oreo Cheesecake Brownies should let you know just how delicious this dessert is. I wouldn’t dare use my stockpiled Oreos for just any recipe!
The starting point for these Pumpkin Spice Oreo Cheesecake Brownies is none other than my decadent One Bowl Chocolate Fudge Brownies. The brownie batter is spiked with pumpkin spice extract before being dolloped with cheesecake filling and sprinkled with crumbled Oreos.
The end result? A delicious chocolate treat with the warmth of autumn spices. So easy and so delicious! If you’re looking for another fall themed brownie, look no further than my Caramel Candy Apple Brownies. They have fruit in them which means they’re basically healthy, right? Exactly.
These Pumpkin Spice Oreo Cheesecake Brownies are perfect for fall bake sales or classroom Halloween parties. Or, let’s be honest, to enjoy on your sofa after a long day. Believe me, I won’t judge.
Want to make them even more decadent? Top your brownie with ice cream and then a river of Pumpkin Spice Hot Fudge Sauce. Guaranteed to be the best autumn themed dessert ever!
The key ingredient that makes this Oreo cheesecake brownie recipe stand out from the crowd? Pumpkin spice extract. I prefer the Rodelle brand. They also make the only baking cocoa that I stock in my pantry.
The pumpkin spice extract features all of the flavors of fall – cinnamon, clove, vanilla, nutmeg and ginger – along with a splash of vanilla extract. It’s a shortcut to amazing flavor, rather than digging through your spice cabinet.
