I love brownies. L-O-V-E. If I’m in the mood for a sweet treat – a.k.a. everyday – and I don’t have anything specific in mind, you can bet a pan of brownies is in my future. I always start with my One Bowl Chocolate Fudge Brownies recipe and then see where things take me.
My Oreo Marshmallow Treat Brownies and fudgy Sno-Cap Chocolate Ganache Brownies are always favorites, but thought it was time to bring some type of candy bar into the mix. Ooey gooey chocolate is the key to happiness in my world I tell you. And these Easy Snickers Brownies are smile inducing and ready to cure all that ails you.
This Easy Snickers Brownies recipe falls into the category of another recipe that I adapted from a family cookbook. It was referred to as a Snickers Cake. I mean, it even uses a cake mix as a shortcut to this chocolate deliciousness! But friends, don’t be fooled – these are decadent brownies!
A German chocolate cake mix is studded with chocolate chips, pecans and Snickers Bites candy before being slathered with caramel and my two ingredient Microwave Chocolate Ganache. In short, these brownies are out of this world!
How to Make Easy Snickers Brownies
[1] In the bowl of an electric mixer, add cake mix, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and butter.
[2] Mix on medium speed until combined and no dry ingredients are visible.
[3] Spread 2/3 of cake mixture into bottom of a greased 9″ x 13″ pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes.
TIP: I like to use a silicone spatula to spread the cake batter so that it spreads easily into an even layer.
[4] Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips, pecans and Snickers Bites candy over the top.
TIP: Can’t find Snickers Bites candy? You can substitute the same amount of coarsely chopped Snickers candy bars.
[5] In a small saucepan over low heat add Caramel Bits and 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
TIP: Can’t find Caramel Bits? You can substitute the same amount of coarsely chopped caramels.
[6] Stir mixture until caramel is completely melted.
[7] Pour caramel over cake mixture.
[8] Drop remaining 1/3 of cake mixture by the tablespoon over melted caramel.
[9] Bake for 15-18 minutes or until set. Allow to cool completely.
[10] Pour prepared Microwave Chocolate Ganache over brownies and allow to cool completely.
How to Store Easy Snickers Brownies
Because these brownies are covered in a heavy layer of my Microwave Chocolate Ganache, once these Easy Snickers Brownies have cooled, you’ll want to cover them and store them in the fridge.
